Last year, we were challenged by Startup Lisboa and Unicorn Factory to sponsor a new category in the iconic Entrepreneurship Awards: the “Most Impactful Startup Award.” This initiative marks the beginning of a strong and steady journey to ensure Impact gains traction in the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem.
The Entrepreneurship Awards aim to recognize the Portuguese Entrepreneurship Ecosystem and the continuous and growing achievements of Startups and Entrepreneurs through six distinct categories: “João Vasconcelos Award – Entrepreneur of the Year,” “Youth Entrepreneurship Award,” “Most Impactful Startup Award,” “Ecosystem Award,” “Most Promising Startup,” and “João Vasconcelos Award – Best Pitch”.
This year, the purpose remains the same, with Galp as the Partner of the initiative and Casa do Impacto, Concentrix, and NTT Data as Category Partners.
Our favorite category, the “Most Impactful Startup Award,” is still in search of the Startup that has demonstrated the most significant growth and Social or Environmental Impact over the past year.
If you believe that your Startup fits this description and your work stands out within the Ecosystem, apply through the Most Impactful Startup Award – Application Form. If, on the other hand, you know of another Startup that meets these criteria and deserves recognition, nominate them through the Most Impactful Startup Award – Nomination Form.
Impact is built through collaboration, generosity, and the natural synergies that allow it to reach its full potential. With that confidence, we launch this challenge once again.
We were thrilled to see such diverse candidates with significant Impact take the stage in 2023. Actif, Bandora, CO2 Offset, and ubbu, four projects that premiered the stage of the “Most Impactful Startup Award,” set a high bar for the quality expected in the second year of this category. Which project will follow in the footsteps of Actif, last year’s winning Startup?

The winning Startup, receiving 2,500.00€ (two thousand five hundred euros), will be announced during a public jury session on October 1st between 15:00 and 20:30 at Capitólio.
